David Ambler's career began, like many young actors, in local amateur dramatics. He appeared in farce, plays and pantomime before studying at Oldham College and working with the Oldham Repertory Theatre Group. David has recently performed at Guide Bridge Theatre and has appeared in Shameless on television.
He is fully CRB'd and is a member of Equity, the professional actors union.
Education
Having attained a National Diploma in Performing Arts, David went on to study at the University of Hull. He achieved a B.A. (Hons) degree in Theatre and Performing Arts.
Experience
To assist his passage through university he was successful in gaining a teaching position at the Paul Nicholas School of Acting, working with children between the ages of eight to sixteen.
David has taught in local Primary Schools as well as at the New Charter Academy and organises workshops during school holidays.
David now brings his experience and enthusiasm to the Hurst Academy. He runs vibrant and fun classes which combines learning with enjoyable activities.
